If you’re a busy woman, a mom, or both, you don’t have time to refresh Google Flights every hour hoping to stumble across a deal.

That’s exactly why I let flight deal experts do the work for me.

In this post, I’m sharing the five best websites and newsletters I personally use to find:

  • Cheap domestic flights

  • International flight deals

  • Mistake fares

  • Business class flights using points and miles

Best part?
The deals come straight to your inbox.

Why Flight Deal Newsletters Are a Game-Changer

I use points and miles for luxury travel—but I also love budget-friendly, spur-of-the-moment trips.

These tools are especially powerful if you:

  • Have flexible travel dates

  • Want deals sent to you

  • Prefer smart shortcuts over endless searching

If spontaneity sounds fun in theory but exhausting in practice, this is how you make it work.

1. Going.com (Formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights)

Going.com is one of the most popular flight deal alert services, and for good reason.

Why it’s worth it:

  • Strong focus on mistake fares

  • Alerts via email and/or text

  • Deals go out fast so you can book quickly

Subscription options:

  • Basic: economy flights only

  • Premium: includes business class deals

If business class travel using points is on your vision board, Premium is the way to go.

2. Google Flights (Free, Powerful, and Dangerous)

Google Flights absolutely earns its spot on this list.

Best Google Flights features:

  • Color-coded calendars showing good vs. bad prices

  • Date grids and price graphs

  • Price alerts when fares drop

  • The Explore tool (browse by region instead of city)

You can search:

  • “Europe” instead of a specific destination

  • Flexible dates across months

  • Economy vs. business class pricing

Fair warning: it’s easy to lose an hour on Google Flights.
Upside: it’s completely free.

3. Thrifty Traveler

Thrifty Traveler is less about “cheap” and more about smart strategy.

Why I like it:

  • Excellent education on points and miles travel

  • Credit card strategy explained clearly

  • Beginner guides for flights and hotels

  • Email alerts for deals

They also offer different membership levels, depending on how deep you want to go.

Bonus: they have a podcast if you enjoy learning while driving, walking, or pretending to clean your house.

4. The Daily Drop and The Points Guy (Yes, I’m Cheating)

These two newsletters are different—but complementary.

The Daily Drop

  • Very beginner-friendly

  • Short, actionable emails

  • Easy wins for flights and hotels

The Points Guy

  • Much more in-depth

  • Tons of information on points, miles, and credit cards

  • Ideal once you’re ready to level up

If you’re new, start with The Daily Drop.
If you’re curious and committed, add The Points Guy.

5. PointsYeah (My Go-To for Booking Flights With Points)

PointsYeah is like Google Flights—but specifically for points and miles.

What makes it powerful:

  • Searches award availability across airlines

  • Shows the lowest point redemptions

  • Tells you which credit card points transfer where

  • Step-by-step booking guidance

You can filter by:

  • Business or first class only

  • Credit cards you actually have

  • Maximum points you want to spend

  • Taxes and fees (huge deal)

There are other tools like Point.me and Seats.aero, but this is the one I use most often.

Bonus Tip: Sign Up for Airline Emails

Airlines still release great cash deals directly through email, including:

  • Delta

  • American

  • Breeze

  • Frontier

Some of these deals don’t always show up on Google Flights, so it’s worth staying in the loop.

Final Takeaway: Let the Deals Find You

You don’t need to be glued to your laptop to travel well.

With the right flight deal newsletters and tools:

  • Deals come to you

  • Points and miles work harder

  • Travel becomes easier, not more stressful
